An IFtar with the Homeless
Come and join in the BIG IFtar to share a meal with people who are homeless, London’s Muslims and the general public.
Watch a host of celebrities cook great quantities of biryani, (a traditional mixture of rice & chicken with various herbs and spices) in huge pots LIVE in the park under the supervision of Award winning chefs from the Pride of Asia restaurant. Indulge in other Ramadan delights including dates, samosas, pakoras, sweets and exotic fruit salad. Feel free to bring some food with you to share with others.
Asian sweets will be donated by Madhubon Sweet Centre in Manor Park.
The fun begins at 5pm with poetry and nasheeds performed by various artists.
Food for up to 1,000 people will be served at IFtar time (just after sunset).
